When I was approached to help get the word out on women’s reproductive health, I had to visit their website to see what it was all about. At first I thought to myself, “Hm... I’m not having children anytime soon, so this probably doesn’t apply to me.” Well, I was so wrong! The whole purpose of the #SaytheFword campaign is to bring awareness and decrease stigma toward ALL women discussing their reproductive health concerns with their doctors. They simply encourage women to start having these conversations early, as they surprisingly don’t happen as often as they should. www.wesaytheFword.com is the best resource for exploring more information around that stigmatized “F” word, fertility.
Celmatix and its allies created this campaign hoping for women to pledge to #SaytheFword. By doing so, they have promised to donate $1 to nonprofits supporting women’s health (up to $25k). I truly didn’t know much when they reached out to me and after doing my own research, I have decided to take that pledge and move toward getting rid of that stigma!
